They are coming to take our property away. First, they want to get rid of guns so we can't fight back.

tyrants take the people's guns away so that they can no longer say "NO"

Yeah, I'm shocked that the gun control thing is becoming more mainstream. I saw a sponsored tweet from Gavin Newsome about an amendment to cuck us all and ban "assault weapons" and some other bs. I don't live in California and certainly don't want that guy to take away my freedoms.

gavin is right that the only way to get gun control is to make an amendment to the constitution which repeals the 2nd amendment. Unlikely to happen since the amount of votes needed for it are high. But it might happen some day if they keep doing fake shootings. But in a lot of blue states they keep enacting unconstitutional gun control laws which the supreme court knocks down.

Wouldn’t you prefer a Nuke instead? It could be more freeing 🚬 😵‍💫

Hmmm… I don’t think you are actually in love with the bomb and have stopped worrying about it due to communist body fluids. 😀

It's a dumb comment. There is no serious discussion about banning guns in general, nor will there be.

What's been requested are better gun laws and restrictions, so that responsible gun owners can get guns, while it's easier to restrict access for guns to criminals and crazy people.

“If man asks for many laws it is only because he is sure that his neighbor needs them; privately he is an unphilosophical anarchist, and thinks laws in his own case superfluous.”

On the other hand, to ban guns because they very easily wound or kill is to tell the law abiding that they're safer.

"To ban the people killing devices because people use them to kill people is to tell people that don't use the people killing devices to kill people that wtf dude people are killing people with these things, holy shit."

But what about time travelling Hitler killers and The Wholly Babble?

Somehow I'm still not convinced selling point-and-click killing machines is a good idea.

Jeez, you assholes haven’t learned to take anything back. Who called no-take-backsies?

Sometimes the crazy needs to be put back in its cage. Imagine a prison or a zoo breakout, so you let them all just run free in the streets and call it personal liberty?

I'm a bit of a leftie. I think gun control and open borders is good BUT you can't have both. Either no open border or minimal gun control, can't have both.

    [–]Oyveygoyim 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (17 children)

What is good about open borders?

    [–]bucetao6969 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

Oh I don't mean "come here everyone!" borders. I mean just opening your borders for people to live here. You will need the background checks obviously.

Valid reasons for open borders are if your country is already multicultured (like brazil) so bringing in more people adds in to the already existing culture. It's also good if you want specific people from other countries (poaching their skills) or if your people have a problem creating babies (so you either import young people or couples who are willing to have babies).

I like open borders in a perfect world because I like to go to other countries for vacations and travel and I'd like it to be easy for me to do so, we don't live in a perfect world though.

I more or less said we can't have gun control or open borders though, leftists saying we need both when in reality it's one or the other

    [–]William_World 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think even if we do close the border we can't have gun control because we still have tons of low IQ criminals here that we need to be able to defend ourselves against. It's neither.

What aspect of multiculturalism requires us to be armed?

    [–]bucetao6969 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

    Racial tension / friction

    [–]ActuallyNot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

    1) Doesn't racial tension reduce in multicultural societies, as people become more familiar with other points of view, cultures and languages?

    2) How does a gun help racial tension?

    [–]bucetao6969 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    1) Doesn't racial tension reduce in multicultural societies, as people become more familiar with other points of view, cultures and languages?

Not if you force it unless of it coming organically.

    2) How does a gun help racial tension?

It's not like that. It just stops people from killing each other since no one will fuck around since everyone is armed.

We should adopt Poland's policy on migrants and border policy.

    Greater GDP through greater productivity.

    [–]Oyveygoyim 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

That's a lie told by the same people who say that "diversity is a strength".

    [–]ActuallyNot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Plausible estimate is that global GDP would double with free movement of labor.

    https://www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2018/08/06/open-borders-economy-workers

What's your best evidence that that's a lie?

    [–]Oyveygoyim 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

The fact that you're quoting the economist which is a rothschilds controlled company is my evidence it's a lie.

    [–]ActuallyNot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

If you think a 21% share is control, your maths is as good as your economics.

Also, I gave you another link, as well, in case you don't have a subscription to The Economist.

Your premise is also wrong. The Economist is the best journalism I'm aware of. They're not partisan barring being evidence based.

Fucking A! It amazes me that no one sees that gun legislation has nothing to do with rights or safety, and everything to do with political narrative.
