I submitted a page once on Wikipedia. It was about the drummer of a band. My submission was denied as "not noteworthy enough" even though all the other musicians in the band had longstanding pages.

Must have been weird for that guy up on stage, knowing the singer and the guitarist were so much more famous than him.

I recall they tried the same with Michael David Crawford at Kuro5hin on Wikipedia and he was not noteworthy enough for a page. Even if he has written essays that are popular and help the mentally ill and homeless.
