I have an acquaintance that is working in medicine, albeit not as a doctor, more like a machine assistant? Anyways, he got me thinking with a thought experiment:

What WOULD happen if we just open everything again like covidiots demand? If you think further, the steps would be:

*more people get infected *hospitals will be overrun briefly *old and already ill people with a history of illnesses will die *cemetaries will be overrun (see italy) *economy recovers *only the strong and young survive *(in some welfare states) pension funds will have more freedom to give people that really need it sooner or later money instead of having a reason to claim on being short on cash all the time *covid will become the next viral infection with regular vaccination requirements, like the flu (and more deadly)

Please note that I am pro vaccine (although not blindly) and take covid seriously. I self quarantined since it started and switched to homeoffice since the middle of last year. Groceries are done by my partner who needs to go out for appointments anyways, so we have reduced "outside life" to a minimum, while staying healthy with sports and regular discord video calls with friends and games.

Things would go back to normal.

Holy hell, it's been heavenly being able to drive downtown to drop my husband off at work. That entire area is usually a maelstrom of traffic, but since the Covid shit it's been mostly blissful.

Glad to see that I made a good choice opening up the months-old email trying to get me to verify my email address for my account on here - as I'm obviously in the right place with people like yourself who know what the fuck is up.

I'm sure you already know this or it doesn't surprise you, but have you heard that they've lately begun openly advocating for future/continued lockdowns -- not for 'big bad covid' but to "assist us in the fight against climate change"? I'd laugh if it weren't so sickening and if these people weren't so genuinely evil. I and others predicted they would do this and now they are. Same goes for their vaccine passport bullshit.

On a side note, I can't believe that this is a REAL article. I love the Scandinavian/Nordic countries, but my goodness there are some totally batshit insane neoliberal feminist women up there who are their own special breed of crazy. The same ones who bring "underage migrant children" (aka obviously 40+ year old grown Afghan or Somali men posing as 14-16 year olds so they can sneak in and live in Sweden unaccompanied off the govt/taxpayers) into their homes and in many cases have even wound up having horrible shit happen like being raped/murdered by these dudes because they start fucking them, in some cases even with their cucked weak husbands still living in the house. It's insane. I'm getting this kind of vibe from the chick in the OP.

That's been the primary goal for decades.

As you're probably aware. It's not about the climate. It's about monopolizing control over all of the world's energy resources. All of it.

They need to convince the world that burning carbonaceous materials (highest energy density/unit cost) is bad for the planet.

Renewables are easy for them to control/monitor/sabotage, and expensive for independent individuals to repair/replace.

Their ultimate goal is demolish any freedom of independence by starving am area of energy.
This will send whomever back to the agrarian era (farming with animal power), and they're viscous enough to slaughter your livestock out of spite.

They believe "competition is a sin".
Their presupposed status as gods is baked in, as a given.
Therefore it's their right to deprive the world, as they are fit.

This is energy "sustainability", and the same philosophy applies to every other aspect of their agendas.

Political speech often has two meanings (or more). The meaning the public assumes, and the meaning the political insiders are using.

Sustainably doesn't mean planning for a future when there is shared belt-tightening, and a vision of a united humanity.

"Sustainability" is a euphemism for DEPOPULATION.

    I would love to get some sort of vaccine and leave this all behind me, but after seeing all the rushed vaccines get botched repeatedly I've been forced to wait until all the bugs get worked out. Luckily I'm in a position where I can afford to order food online.

    We're already there. This half-closed-half-open bullshit didn't change much of anything except hurt the economy. I think we've reached the point where opening everything, letting it run its course, and moving on with what's left of our lives would be the best outcome.

    It sucks... the current state of the world can't continue on like this forever. More and more people are already ignoring the guidelines. Which defeats the purpose of the lockdowns to begin with.

    What's worse is all the panic over the mutations is spreading the idea that no vaccine is going to be a magic bullet to fix the problem. So why should we care anymore? Like they've been saying all along, "This is the new normal. You could die any day. Wake up one day without the sense of smell. Two weeks later you're dead. So why not live your life to the fullest right now? Why hide away waiting to die alone? The masks are obviously doing fuck-all."

    It's turning what should be a serious matter into a joke to make memes over.

    I hate to sound morbid, but if there is no light at the tunnel because we can't beat this thing, then we will all have to come to terms with our new lives now.

    And I, for one, will not be living my life in terror, hiding behind a mask, all because some people on tv want to keep the world safe. If mask-only stores become permanent things, that is fine, I can shop elsewhere, but mask-optional stores should be just as legal to have.

    As soon as I see a safe-ish looking vaccine I'm taking it and inviting my friends over. It's been over a year. I'm out of fucks to give.
