WYSK: It is not actually from Mr Beast. This advert is popping up everywhere, not just on YouTube, and many browsers do not realise the link is dodgy.
The advert looks like an official Mr Beast one, and clicking on through does not prompt anything out of the ordinary for a giveaway - for example, filling out a questionnaire and having to download a free app.
HOWEVER, in this process, the scammers will take your personal details, including your address, phone number, and email, with a final attempt being made to take your bank details and/or PayPal details.
I know someone who fell for it, and realised only after giving away their personal info that it was a scam. It seems obvious yes, but the use of the Mr Beast brand makes it very convincing.
