My plane old vinalla oneplus 6t has no social media, I turn off wifi when I leave home, I only use the phone for calls and texting (textra). And even then I never talk or text about anything that might be illegal, questionable. People who buy a phone with use social media on it are stupid.

You are the commodity... you location, text and call history, purchase record, etc.. That's where the technology is headed. It will facilitate universal surveillance.

This kind of neglects how Google Play, Samsung Store, Facebook, Twitter, GMail, Google Search, and all those per-installed bloat-ware apps are already doing this to you and selling the info to conglomerate companies who sell it to anyone.

Spying on you is not a one off activity done by one app, it is a whole industry. Anyone allowing for "anonymized data collection" is empowering this industry, whom anonymizing service is done by big-daddy Oracle.
