You have to be some kind of idiot to send your DNA to one of these companies. Nobody gives a shit about privacy in any form anymore and it's frustrating. Everything has to be an app now that skims all your data. Have you ever read the EULA from apps you use, or notice how many permissions they get to your device?

This article is greatly overstating how useful dna tests are. It is not uncommon for a dna test to match multiple people who are not related and not even the same race.
