Most of the civil wars we have seen around the world during our lifetimes were CIA covert operations. They overthrow governments and install puppets that would convert all their profitable national assets and industries to publicly traded companies. Then the western corporations would quickly take control of them on Wall Street. Once they did that they own the profits of those industries for ever more, sucking them away from the country and the people that create them. This is why African countries that produce the worlds valuable resources like diamonds live in poverty while Americans who do nothing of value get fatter and more obese.
