Seems reasonable. It's like cutting off the last joint of their fingers... and it's not that hard to train them to scratch only the post

Trust me, they must having far more "funs" about it. Something like cut the tails, etc.

And cut the ears of dogs as well.

I think, the thing they most love to see more than anything is after the tail is been dock , the pet still acts like it loves the pet owner.

So you can't stop them to doing this.

I hate pet owners.
