If Putin simply wants Ukraine not to join NATO, then he would be willing to accept my peace proposal. Russia will be permitted to occupy territory it seized from Ukraine before the February 2022 invasion although the land would legally belong to Ukraine. Russia must withdraw from all land it seized after the invasion. NATO membership will remain as it is. The UN will be obligated to defend Ukraine if Russia invades again.
