coup

"a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government"

Since they didn't seize power, it wasn't a coup- it was an attempted coup.

And with Lines like:

"...you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing..."

and

"...we will soon be marching over to the Capitol building..."

and

"And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."

and

"So we're going to, we're going to walk down... to the Capitol, and we're going to try and give... our Republicans... the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country."

, I think it's pretty clear he incited them to do it.

"Take back the country", "Show strength", "March", "fight", "going to the capitol...to take back our country". Yeah, sure, somewhere in his rambling speech he mentioned the word "peacefully". But he mentioned 'strength' and 'fighting' a lot more.

He lost the election. He made a speech to a crowd than then went the capitol and committed acts of violence. Armed intruders roaming the halls, looking for democrats to... what? "peacefully" talk to? No. It was Sudden. It was Violent. And it was Unlawful. It just didn't work, thank god.

Except that it was fully infiltrated by the security state. They were there every step of the way.

Trump was allowed to delusionally agitate the crowds into a riot.

That's about it. Shitlibs try to drum up a scenario that doesn't exist. Just like they did with the bullshit russiagate scam.

Shitlibs embarrass themselves with these pathetic lies. Fucking losers. They play these dumbass games because they can't produce candidates that can beat losers like Trump. What a joke.

Trump was allowed to delusionally agitate the crowds into a riot.

So you admit he did so. Yet you claim it's "a scenario that doesn't exist". Which is it?

You talk about "pathetic lies". I watched the news. I saw what happened Jan 6th. It was an attempted coup.

I too was watching it live and was laughing. It was such a joke.

And then there were dozens of FBI agents, identified by very visible FBI armbands, in the basement in full combat gear in case things got out of hand. This was proof that they were very much informed about and involved in the fake coup. And, of course, this important video clip was never to be seen again.

The 'Halls of Liberty' and 'Seats of Democracy' were never in any kind of danger.

The fact that it was 'such a joke' doesn't stop it from being illegal.

This was proof that they were very much informed about and involved in the fake coup.

Assuming you are correct about them having extra forces on standby... doesn't mean the coup attempt was "fake".

The 'Halls of Liberty' and 'Seats of Democracy' were never in any kind of danger.

Except for the stolen podiums and shit smeared on the walls....

And, again, even if there was no way in hell they were going to win... doesn't make it 'fake'.

keep on trying...so lame...

[–]FredKlein 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

What's 'lame' is seeing a violent armed mob attacking and entering the Capitol building, shouting to find and kill members of Congress... and claiming it's no big deal.

[–]shatabee5 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It wasn't a big deal compared to the constant malfeasance and criminality of Congress.

You should perhaps get your definitions right.

A coup d'état (/ˌkuːdeɪˈtɑː/ (listen); French for 'stroke of state'[1]), or simply a coup, is an illegal and overt attempt by the military or other government elites to unseat the incumbent leader

An attempted coup is like saying white snow. All you have demonstrated is that you don't know what words mean. Perhaps the next time you touch a keyboard something more intelligent is going to come out? Can you, please?

meh. Go argue with Google- the definition is from them.

Begone, troll

Just use that same Google to check that coups can fail. Just admit you are stupid. It's OK.
