If children can't do algebra then obviously (according to fools in Kansas) the thing to do is to not try to teach it. Basically it's useless anyway right guise?

This is about college requirements and not sure there's anything as nefarious as this article suggests.

“We’re sending the majority of students down the college algebra road, which is really not necessary,” said Daniel Archer, vice president of academic affairs for the Kansas Board of Regents. “It’s not practical. It’s not really needed. And it’s not relevant for their fields.”

I didn't have to take college algebra because I had taken classes in HS for it. I jumped right into calculus.
