It seems pretty open and shut to me. This guy is an idiot for arguing about it in the first place.

Guy steals the luggage. Makes up a story. Gets caught in that. Like why the fuck this guy want to steal some random ladies luggage? Only reason it would make any sense is to satisfy a weird fetish. Bad look for him. And since he's on camera taking the luggage looking and the tag and removing it, he's fucked.

I mean if at the point he got to the hotel if he called up the airport then, or even if he's super tired and decides to call the next day about taking the wrong bag, that's within the realm of being reasonable still. But with that video evidence and then the lies and using the bag multiple times after, it just seems to me this guy is a kleptomaniac as well as being an exhibituonist. Bye bye career.
