You haven't had crazy random things out of stock? It started with toilet paper, paper towels, and rubbing alcohol here. At various times it's been difficult to get ramen noodles, pickled jalapenos, and high-octane gasoline.

Automobile dealerships have been sold out (or nearly sold out / sold out of specific models) for quite a while.

If it's just specific things sounds like to me artificial sacristy to eliminate competition.

Not really.. though I heard some news like that from Western countries, not sure if it was the US or some European countries.

I remember pasta, rice etc. being out of stock when the covid pandemic began 2 years ago, but nothing since then.

Prices of natural gas and recently gasoline have gone up significantly though.

pickled jalapenos,

You can pickle jalapenos and other peppers in about 10 minutes, see "quick pickling" for various recipes.

Yeah, I've been learning to grow stuff and I'm hoping to pickle some turnips and peppers.
