Actor Jussie Smollett found guilty of falsely reporting a hate crime against him. The offenses are class 4 felonies and could be punishable by up to three years behind bars. But Smollett has a clean criminal record, making any jail time highly unlikely.

I can't say that I care. It's stupid that Stans pay attention to TV people, and the court system is trash and this is the least of a threat to anything relevant. I don't even know that there's anything wrong with lying to the police, it's not like he targeted anyone with his lies. The more time pigs spend investigating imaginary crimes the fewer speeding tickets they can give.

If you police had managed to arrest people based on his description and put him in front of a line-up do you really think he would have said "no, that's not them"?

Because I don't.

I think he would have let innocent people be tarred by this made up crime and gone to prison. We've seen that with his arrogance in him taking it this far through the courts.

If that had actually happened he would have committed a crime, but it didn't so he didn't. Also the American legal system is utter trash and has nothing to do with justice, most of the people it convicts and jails haven't done anything wrong, so I stand by my original statement. Government courts should be abolished, not reformed or naively expected to do a good job. Socialism in the law is just as shitty as socialism in food.
