WTF is Corky?

Classic TV show called Life Goes On, the first TV show that had a major character (Corky) with Down Syndrome.

Everyone I've met with Down syndrome has been wonderfully positive, sweet and engaging. I am happy to be considered one of them.

Corky was the whole point of the popular show, at least till the last season when it became about AIDs. There was a whole "you can have sex with people with AIDs" theme for a hot sec. And this was back when AIDs prevention was hoping the condom worked because it was very much a death sentence.

Thank god for streaming. We were a captive audience in those days.
