There can be several forms of counterargument, none of which may be considered satisfactory. For example:

She and other politicians think of themselves as above the law and that the legislation they pass is not necessarily for themselves, but for others.

Also, she may not want to pay it.

Also she may plan to pay it, but hasn't bothered to think about it.

Also - because this is from a heavily biased source, it's likelly that they are not offering her point of view on this, or what she plans to do about it.

I am not taking Pelosi's side. I've also not bothered to see if there is any accuracy in this think that is only reported by Fox, and no one else seems to care. In fact, I would hope Pelosi focused on more important issues, as she sometimes fails to do and as AOC and others are very concerned about. Time for her to retire, as well as for McConnell to retire, among others.
