I am a fan of the neo-reactionary term, the cathedral, which in a term for the nexus of corporate / political / academic interested which drives the official narrative, determining in turn public belief.

Chomsky wrote about it in Manufacturing Consent.

The Dems wanted to keep the number of fraudulent ballots to a minimum, for believability, but cut it a bit too close. They had the advantage of knowing the real vote count when they made the pre-dawn dump that was what, 99% Biden votes, something that is statistically impossible.

As for Bush v Kerry, Cheney called for the five swing states to put in the fix but it was too late in the afternoon, making the fix obvious to experienced poll watchers. One Princeton statistician described the odds of such a huge swing in voting, from Kerry early on to Bush later, thusly: in science this is how we say impossible.
