Agreed! We live in a throw-away society anymore. Companies build stuff just good enough to make it through the warranty period and maybe a bit longer. Then you throw it away and buy another one. People used to get TVs fixed, quality boots and shoes resoled, appliances repaired, Not any more though, Throw it out and buy new. A big part of the blame (most of it, actually) lies with the companies that make the crap. They build it like crap on purpose, fully knowing you'll throw it away and but more, in their quest for the almighty dollar! Speaking of quality tools, I was fortunate enough to buy a nice set of Snap On tools and a top and bottom tool box (Napa, to save a few bucks) when I went to a tech school for aviation maintenance. That was 1991, and I still have all if it, and it all still works, and it is all still in great condition. 30 years old, and I'm sure it will last for another 30. They certainly don't build stuff like that anymore!
