Fear of covid is a bourgeois privilege. "Stay home; save lives" means "I'm privileged so I can work from home and still make money. I hereby transfer burden of herd immunity to the workers & peasants who deliver my food and keep society functioning while I luxuriate in my personal digital utopia."

The left in general doesn't care about the poor. They just care about their crusade of the day. 13 months ago it was climate change, now it's covid. They don't care in the least that people are dying of anything but covid. They don't care in the least about selling our grandkids into slavery. All they care about is the one thing they're entitled to be outraged about this hour.
