I just think it's ridiculous in Britain, just as an example, you can't even carry a proper pocket knife legally and that's from trying to nanny state their citizens so they can't hurt each other but they still do. I don't know fuckall about Australia but this talk about making FB posts illegal there is pretty disturbing.

Yeah fair play my girlfriend is from there and she couldn't even buy a packet of steak knives without ID.

Sometimes with laws like that it's just simply laziness, there are things that could be done but they can't be bothered to construct a better law about things.
