as a person on the left, but not a fucking raging lunatic, i wholeheartedly agree. a lot of people on the left are absolutely not okay with militant "woke" ideology and demands, but are indeed terrified of being "cancelled." the left-wing media's narrative of "you only get cancelled if you deserve it," reinforces ours fears and keeps us from speaking up. ... this seems to be contributing to further division and misunderstanding between the right and the left, growing resentment, and some really stupid/bad ideas going largely unchallenged.
