That bit about what to let go of is by far the most insidious part. White privilege is obviously real, but the project of neoliberalism has appropriated that observation to use as one vector for trying to convince people that if they don't lay down and accept a reduction of living standards that it makes them racist or reactionary. The proper response to only some people getting to have a good thing isn't "nobody should have this" it's "everybody should have this"

A coherent rendition of the actual principles of socialism opposes this entirely, this is a product of neoliberalism and the movements it has distorted and coopted
