The victims in the escalating war between Democrats and Republicans are the American people. Imagine if all that energy would be used to solve problems.

Truth. People think "the other side" are literally evil and they must crush it at all costs. Tribalistic mindsets like this are how wars start, when both sides think that.

Instead we could be building something new that will supercede this outdated system. But many are caught up in the currents created by the media, and lose themselves to righteous anger at the evil of the other side.
