'Corporate welfare' is a more appropriate term than 'socialism.'

Socialism is “a centrally planned economy in which the government controls all means of production.” While giving special government favors to connected individuals and corporations is definitely cronyistic, it’s not the same as socialism.

That's not the definition of socialism.

Socialism is worker control of industry.

You're using the fraudulent Soviet propaganda version, which attempted to leverage The populist appeal of socialism.

The US was more than willing to repeat this fraud, because it helped to vilify socialism.

Corporate Welfare are socialistic programs.

Other socialistic programs:.

  • Medicare
  • social security
  • public sewers
  • utilities
  • public roads and freeways
  • Public Education (which was used for brainwashing and schooling instead of actual education
  • Fire departments
  • Police (formerly Union bashing hired thugs transferred to the public's payroll. Literally.)
  • National parks
  • Etc.

The costs of all of these services are socialized.

Americans actually love socialism, but they don't recognize it when they see it.

Free-market was a concept similar to utilities, where you aren't gouged for using it. You (formerly) paid a small fee just above the cost to produce.
A "free market" was a market so efficient, that the products were almost free beyond the actual cost to produce.

Imagine paying a few pennies above cost to use your cell phone? Or Internet?

The public commons own the airways. They telecoms rent from us; for free.

We deserve a discount for using our property.

That's traditional free-market.

Nothing you've said here is correct. You have a really skewed understanding of socio-economics and its terminology.

He is 100% correct. You are wrong. Stings don't it.
