Anticrepuscular Rays Converge Opposite the Sun - it may look like something bright is shining at the antisolar point near the image center, but actually it is reverse-shining because, from your direction, light is streaming in, not out.

what a nonsense explanation, though. They still shine, not reverse shine. Light passing by hits atmosphere / vapour and is reflected. There is nothing bright at the perspective convergence point, since all you see are those reflected waves and the absence of a direct emitting source is blatantly evident.
