Gray Great Pyrenees

I knew one once, at my sister's

Great with humans, totally chill and friendly

Will fiercely defend its human from all dogs and animals, killing all naughty animals, unless convinced by the human the animal is OK, after which they're totally chill with the other animal

Needs brushing twice+ a month

LOVES the outdoors

Doesn't require extensive exercise

Lovely animal in all respects

I see him! https://i.imgur.com/i77ILoa.jpeg He does look capable of defending you and those he loves.... If the leash does not hold him back from doing so. Of course, only the Lord is capable of defending you from all danger, but perhaps he has blessed you with this dog to help.
