Heard a loud pop while I was sleeping, woke up to find my lighter exploded in my jacket.

Maybe cause it's a cheap lighter? Never had that happen with a BIC.

It's definitely because it's a cheap lighter, the BICs can even be left in a hot car, but I never had a cheap one pop just cause

I've got a cheap novelty China-made lighter that carries 4 times as much fuel and has a built-in flashlight. What could go wrong right? I should probably throw it out but I don't know where it is... Halp!

It could be a sign to quit smoking.

Some family members just went on a cruise to Mexico. They saw cigarettes for sale that were "duty free". But there was also a warning posted on the packages, in English, that said:

It's been many years since I last smoked. I'm glad to be free from that and other addictions. I pray for you, that if you want to be free, that you would be free, in Jesus' name.

I feel like I'm one of the few people who actually enjoy tobacco and am not just addicted to the nicotine.

I thought I enjoyed the experience of tobacco also. But do you enjoy how it affects your health? Do you enjoy the cough, the impairment to your sense of taste, the discoloration of teeth, the lingering smell on your clothes, the extra financial burden?

Lighters tend to explode, some kids did it near my home, they threw around lighters and made em go BOOM!

There's no damage, no ignition, just a violent release of gas as the container failed.

I've never seen this happen outside of a lighter left in a car on a hot day.

It is possible one of my cats was sitting on it when it popped, but they shouldn't generate that much heat.
