Soon we'll find out the fully loaded range is only about 100 miles.

The battery weighs as much as two full-size cars. It'll have range. Maybe not so much in mountains but the loss will be less than you'd think due to regeneration on the way downhill. There are already other manufacturers with short-range heavy trucks on the road. Tesla is supposed to be special because you can drive an entire shift on one charge.
