It wasn't even my drama. But a perfect storm of three or four things failing at the same time led to it. I was in the middle but the least upset. Once I learned what was up and explained it all, it went back to normal. Turns out the sky wasn't falling.

Funny thing about the Green Party - at the 2 events we had I had the pleasure of talking with lots of folks about this and that, brainstorming up ideas (soon to be shared), etc. Naturally with me, the conversation could always be skewed towards conspiracy shit. "Well, actually..." and "there's another perspective I bet you aren't aware of...". Turns out 100% of the people I spoke to either had LOTS of room for skepticism or flat out didn't buy the human-made Climate Change / Carbon Tax Scam. Primarily in this matter (and a few others) I was intentionally avoiding skewing my unofficial pol. I was SHOCKED!

Yes we all care about pollution and toxicity, and we are bombarded with more eco-propaganda in Canada than the US for sure - but I was surprised. I was asking folks because it's essentially the only issue I have with the party at large - though admittedly I know little to nothing about their other issues. If it were a closer race I'd have to delve in more, but as it is, I'm basically protesting for more options. There are only 3 main parties and a handful of fringe parties in Canada - yet there are more options on the Myers-Briggs personality test. Needs more decentralization.

I'd like to say my efforts were epic, but they weren't. Hopefully, assuming the local Greens and I align well enough, the next few years could be very different. I had good experience in my past lives, with the professional animation and Burning Man communities crossing over between the keyboard and real life. I wasn't so political then, but I've always been green (the first Canadian Chief Sea Scout), and there was enough Green consciousness in the BM community for me, partly being in SF, Oakland, Victoria, and Vancouver - well ahead of the East Coast.

If I could just shake off this slump, in no small part to the bad vibes of this house heating system.

This makes me so happy and hopeful. Nice field work man.

It gives me hope for the Green Party too. It's a legit if very minor party. But that's where we might have influence to change and evolve it while our "leaders" play their games and tow the line.

A Green-Flux-Skeptic-Minarchist Party would kick ass, even if it used the simpler Green Party name.

I'm not committing to too much though, as I usually do. I'm wary of being disappointed or getting sucked into something I cannot contribute to. I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst. And I'm still trying to stay focused on my 2 big projects.
