17 is not really a kid anymore, and if we are brutally honest the reason everyone gets upset about hearing that a teacher/coach has a relationship with a 17 year old student is not about the age so much as envy. Envy over both the fact that those people have access to young, attractive potential mates and "you" don't and envy at the thought that they got to break a rule which you followed in that if you knew you could be in their position earlier you would have chosen to be a teacher instead of whatever you do.

No envy here. I was 17 once and had my fun. When I see people who are 10+ years older having these relationships like this it's disgust that I feel.

At 17 (heck under 25) people are pretty easy to manipulate if you have a little charisma, charm and intelligence. For the right female, an older male with some cash goes a long way.

These are just weak people using what they got on venerable people. I 'm not envious of this.

If this male student was to get his teacher pregnant and she carries the kid to term, will he have to pay child support for the next 25 years? At 17 I doubt he was thinking about that. In fact the only thing he was thinking about was where his dick was going. That's what makes this wrong.

I wonder how many people desire these relationships didn't sow their wild oats

I'm sure envy is a factor. But when you don't have a relationship of peers mentally, and that is an issue of all sufficiently large age gaps, the primary feature of the relationship is merely sexual. I think it's crazy to want a sexual plaything over a partner in this life.

Although I also think particularly with the birth rate being what it is people should stop being so prudish.

Don't worry. No consequence ever happens to rich folk and politicians anyway. Lawyers will claim she's crazy or a poor woman victim of society.

SO, SHE DISCOVERD HER WHOREDOMS, AND DISCOVERED HER NAKEDNESS, THEN MY MIND WAS ALIENTATED FROM HER; YET, SHE MULTIPLIED HER WHOREDOMS, IN CALLING TO REMEMBRANCE THE DAYS OF HER YOUTH, WHEREIN SHE HAS PLAYED THE HARLOT IN THE LAND OF EGYPT.
