The CDC has not admitted that the vaccinated likely have a higher risk of infection with the new COVID variant. In fact, the CDC has said that the vaccines are still effective against the new variant, but they may not be as effective as they were against previous variants.

The CDC has said that the new variant, BA.2.86, is more transmissible than previous variants, and it may be able to evade the protection of the vaccines. However, the CDC has also said that the vaccines are still effective at preventing serious illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.

The CDC is still monitoring the situation and will continue to update its recommendations as more information becomes available.

Here are some of the things that the CDC has said about the new variant:

The variant is more transmissible than previous variants. The variant may be able to evade the protection of the vaccines. i think it's a hard and fast law of science that any new virus will evolve to be weaker over time. Cuz any super powerful virus that kill it's hosts will then not spread anymore, it needs people alive and moving around to spread to others. This means we should stop worrying about covid. The only reason why not is if labs are using gain of function techniques to make viruses more powerful artifically.
