    Have you thought about Saudi Arabia? We will have a well-paid opening in early April. Iran might be a good choice. (Afghanistan not so much.)

    I used to talk to an alcoholic programmer who lived there. I think he said a 750mL bottle of some shit tier booze like Jack Daniels went for a hundo.

    I follow the laws of the country I am in.

    The thing about Saudi Arabia is that it makes whatever you are worse. If you are a drunk, you will live in an alcoholic fog. If you are gay, you will spend your time in some very active social circles. If you read (as I do) you will read a rather lot.

    I just finished a really neat little book, Inside the White House, which tells the story of Truman's restoration of the White House. I am from the DC area, so that stuff interests me. What really kills me in The Failing New York Times, I paid for it, so I am going to at least thumb through it each day. The distraction makes it hard to keep on top of the pile.
