It really started as a result of WWII and trying not to look like anything resembling a Nazi by instituting Jewish quotas in the Ivy league. It increased further as a result of the 1960's cultural upheaval. This article goes into exhaustive detail about Jewish overreach in academia https://www.unz.com/runz/the-myth-of-american-meritocracy/

"The Jewish levels for Yale and Columbia were also around 25 percent, while white Gentiles were 22 percent at the former and just 15 percent at the latter. The remainder of the Ivy League followed this same general pattern. This overrepresentation of Jews is really quite extraordinary, since the group currently constitutes just 2.1 percent of the general population and about 1.8 percent of college-age Americans."

Part of this has to do with Jewish intelligence, which is significantly greater on average than that of Europeans. But Jewish power in both finance and politics dictates what does and doesn't get taught at universities. One of the most obvious effects of this is the wildly disproportionate number of leftist and left leaning professors compared to rightist or right leaning ones 12 to 1 https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/oct/6/liberal-professors-outnumber-conservatives-12-1/

What's the end game? Hopefully free speech serves its purpose in waking people up in the face of the left's racism and egalitarianism. If that doesn't work, then balkanization is probably all that's left

So you're saying that Jewish people did not start taking over media and academia until 1939-1945? Am I getting this right?

Hopefully free speech serves its purpose in waking people up in the face of the left's racism and egalitarianism.

Racism... against non-jewish people? Because Jewish people are overrepresented in academia? Is this correct?

Universities are leftist in the US because the American left is more liberal and universities are more liberal. Universities are more liberal because the act of inquiry, research, and learning requires openness to new experiences, which is characterized by liberalism.

In theory yes but in practice left leaning "thinkers" are completely dictatorial.

Both of you are correct - it's neither all one nor the other.

There is liberal exploration AND there is communist-totalitarianism WITH much grey between.

Yes in theory. Much like the original meaning of liberal was libertarian but now isn't. Anyone who is a liberal today is not advancing freedom they are advancing tyranny. I'm quite aware that many liberals don't think that but that's a fault of education and learning on their part.

Depends what their precise end game actually is. Sure more power, etc - is general. Cutting up the nation with civil war? Possibly - and it seems like they're aiming for that. However, Balkanization is certainly not all that's left. The totalitarian MIAC-corpra-technocracy will stop at nothing. They have countless ways to dispose of fringe elements - if it comes to that. How much do they want? All of it. How much do they actually need? Enough for complete control for the forseeable future.

MIAC?

Eisenhower's "Military Industrial Complex" was originally going to be the "Military Industrial Academic Complex" but they not only thought it was too long a phrase, but they also didn't want to show their entire hand. I forget where I learned that, about half a year ago.
