Why is news from 7 months ago a "warning"?

Because this account is automated (doesn't reply to comments), posts a lot, and has a history of posting stuff that's several years old as if it were new. Even stuff like presidential approval ratings and other extremely transient things that really do have an expiry date of meaningfulness.

Sometimes their articles are great, but sometimes it's just random stuff.

I don't think we're going to ban him or anything, it's just annoying seeing old news presented as if it's new, especially in /s/news which is for recent things generally. It's been getting better about being more recent, but it's still frustrating at times.

It's not my sub so I shouldn't be warning but I think old news sabotages news unless it's marked as old or clearly titled as old.
