This second tier hoaxery is a reaction to the fact that numerous groups are publically stating in their broadcasts that they don't think Epstein committed suicide.

It's a distraction tactic that's intended to detract from the public's outcry for a legit investigation.

That news anchor was probably put up to making these claims.
