The thing about my home country is that it's the United States. It doesn't have any values. It has eleven distinct geographic cultures and thousands upon thousands of subcultures. It has a government dominated by two parties that don't stand for anything. Having the word "United" in our name is almost as much a joke as North Korea's "Democratic."

We already don't like each other. We can handle not liking people who were born closer to the equator. It'll be fine.

Also, we don't have a choice. Sure, we could tax the childless to pay people to have children, but even if that's massively successful, it'll still be a good sixteen years before they can do the actual labor - so in the interim, we need lots and lots of immigration.

I'm American too. I'm fine with immigration but not with illegal immigration. Even Biden just started building a border wall (after selling all the materials to build a wall at a discount a few weeks ago).

Truth be told, I don't much care what's legal and what's illegal. It's a totally different subject from what's right and what's wrong.
