If sex and gender are different, why is the whole point of transition to convince people that your sex different from what it actually is?TIPs place so much importance on passing. If they actually believed sex and gender were different, they’d be perfectly content to not pass and be seen as feminine men/masculine women.

I don’t understand why being your “true self” means tricking everyone into thinking your biology is different from what it actually is, to the point that you require surgery. How is living a life of hiding, lies, and trickery seen as “authentic”?
