It's better for you to pretend they never said which machine they're raging against.

Because to acknowledge that you personally love and adore the machine of white supremacy, the ingrained power structure and the politics of hate and division - this would probably lead to a state of cognitive dissonance, so your brain will take the easy route and pretend that rage never said which machine it was

I'm not 'white' in their definition of the word. You're just trying to lump a group of unrelated people together as a singular boogeyman to be your scapegoat.

  3. Way to miss the point. The point is that RATM were raging against you and the idiots people like you elect. If you want to enjoy their music, you're going to quite quickly come up against a wall of cognitive dissonance as you realise that it's actually you that they're mad about. So, in order to not experience dissonance, your brain creates an alternative reality where maybe RATM were just super unclear about which machine was bothering them

This band was a fraud then and now and they are false opposition. The “machine” they rage against is the one that made their ear-raping shitlib propaganda possible. They recorded for Sony Music Entertainment. I grew up in a college town full of real indie musicians and did musical theatre, and they were a joke in terms of actually changing anything. If anything, everything they bitch about has gotten worse because of them and others like them. Shitlibs who make excuses for them are embarrassing.
