As retarded as this debacle was, I'm surprised we only lost 2300 people. Many others were wounded, sure, but I just would have expected casualties to be much higher

Idk I didn't make the infographic or compile the stats. Way more Afghani militants and civilians died than that, that's for sure

Put like that, it does seem like a massive waste of resources and human life. On the other hand, look at all the money that defense contractors, lobbyists, politicians friends etc received. And some small fraction of that money might trickle down to the taxpayer!
