/u/AXXA and /u/strategictactic are indeed correct, the constitution and bill of rights only list the governments powers allowed by the citizenry. God gives us our rights and with that gift comes the reality that there will be times where we will be required to defend ourselves from those who we've determined to assume the power to deny those right to us.
