But we're told it's much better than colonialism because the Chinese don't look down on African leaders like the Europeans do. The Chinese don't tell them they have to end slavery, FGM or tell them they can't bribe officials or steal all their countries' money.

Except I feel it is much worse, since Africa is lacking in a ton of infrastructure and China has the opportunity to lend them money and sell them infrustructure that China controls
