It's always the people who suffer in the end. The average American didn't benefit from the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, the destabilizations of Syria and Libya, etc., while the military industrial complex benefitted immensely. And now the world will stupidly cheer whilst Americans are victimized by the very same government that wronged them.

To be clear, I'm not cheering. Though now I can see how it might be misinterpreted as such.

Even if most folks suddenly "woke up" I'm not sure they could stop what's going to happen (it will get worse), nor effectively reorganize in any quick and timely manner.

I didn't mean that you were cheering the American government oppressing its population. My bad. I meant that the people around the world who've had their nations destroyed by the American government's foreign policy, are the ones cheering it on. They fail to realize that it's not the American people who devised and implemented those policies, although I can understand foreigners being resentful towards the American people (the ones who participated in the elections, anyway) because they voted those politicians and parties into power. Which is why I don't participate in elections anymore, because no matter who you vote for, they never do what they promised and they're never accountable for it.

Agreed.

I'm sure some are cheering. I'm hoping more are upset about it. I'm hoping even more know that most government (s)elections are a joke and they're gonna do what they're gonna do anyway because the permanent non-elected shadow government never changes.
