Amanda Duarte is a New York-based writer and performer who juggles a variety of creative pursuits. In addition to appearing regularly on comedy and storytelling stages throughout the city, she contributes to The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Time Out New York. She is also the host of Dead Darlings, a reading series in which artists present work they’ve had to cut or abandon. Duarte recently premiered Staying Alive, a show that explores what happened when “her marriage, her body, and her democracy” simultaneously fell apart.
