It is not that gold is going up, but Dollar (and other currencies) are going down.

Fed is 'printing' like there is no tomorrow so $ will go down at some point in the future.

It IS going down down down down as we speak and has been for a long while. The issue is that central banking is coordinated worldwide, so when all currencies get debased, as is happening lately, the exchange rates don't change much. Except exchange rates with alternative stores of value: Gold, silver, bitcoin, etc.

However, this is where crafty finance comes into play: these alternative stores of values' prices have been kept under massive manipulative pressure. So in fact, the price of gold should be maybe $4,500 and silver $100 today in order to display the real decrease in the dollar's value. Or maybe even higher, nobody knows exactly.
