I'm not really sure why this sub is simping so hard for China to do things that will increase their birthrates. All that will lead is more environmental damage, more chinese immigrants and more stress put on the planet's resources.

Yes, he's an idiot for thinking that most Chinese people just want to get on with their peaceful and productive lives, enjoy the good life with their families and loved ones, JUST LIKE WE DO.

He's an idiot for probably understanding that "China" doesn't exist, no more than "America" does. There's the soil, but it's not the nation. There's the population, but they're just people. There's borders, but they don't define the nation either. There's politicians who do with the nation pretty much as they want, but what is the nation? None of these, and not even the sum of these. I don't think her lifestyle is extremely common, but it easily debunks the idea of the Chinese population as the west's enemies. They're just people trying to do the best they can for their own lives, and I think these videos demonstrate that.

Moreover - what about the so-called "free speech" screeching demands from the right (and at Saidit)? What about gravy seals with "don't tread on me" flags? What about 'freedom fries'! If 'Murica is the "land of the free", it's the polar opposite of authoritarian countries like China and Russia. What they are doing to restrict human rights in their own and other countries should result in total boycots from democratic countries. Buying their cheap goods is inexcusable. (And a restriction on feminine men in China seems really odd, because I've never seen men in that country as particularly macho. That said, they really need to promote Shaolin quan.)
