South Africa is as old as the 1600s. That's way before Israel was a state. Although I don't deny there where collaborations.

I'm glad you brought that up. Israel was not a country yet but Jewish people were still responsible for South Africa. Jewish cartographers in Portugal assisted Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco da Gama who first sailed around the Cape of Good Hope in 1488 and 1497. Jews made it possible for Portuguese explorers to make it to Cape of Good Hope back in 1488. Over a hundred years before the 1600s you mentioned.

Jews were among the first settlers in Cape Town when the Dutch East India Company established the first European settlement.

Aaron and Daniel de Pass were the first to open up Namaqualand, and from 1849 to 1886 they were the largest shipowners in Cape Town, and leaders of the sealing, whaling, and fishing industries. Jews were among the first to take to ostrich-farming and played a role in the early diamond industry. Jews also played some part in early South African politics. Captain Joshua Norden was shot at the head of his Mounted Burghers in the Xhosa War of 1846.

Jews built South Africa, Jews made South Africa a powerful nation. It's no surprise that South Africa went to shit when Israel stopped propping up South Africa.

Shalom

Why were they assisting them instead of just sailing there on their own? Where did any of the ships came from that even made the journey to South Africa possible?

It's fine for Jews to help, but they don't get credit for building everything.
