Bro this is totally fine if they install scrubbers on their exhaust stacks!

Stronghold Digital Mining has received seven violations from the DEP for not complying with emissions standards.

Oh. Well, nevermind then Who would have thought a firm in the business of literally churning through electricity as cheaply as possible to make money would be this way?

The amount of scrubbers an emissions monitoring they have to do, make this moronic scare article just dishonest.

Then they repeat the old trope about the large electricity, but massive public value that cypto mining provides the public...but forget that it has value.

They also forget that it is thousands of times more energy efficient than other forms of electronic money, like the energy and wealth burn pit of credit cards, which don't even settle transactions, the many hundreds of banking sky scrapers, the hundreds of thousands of brick and mortar public storefronts, office buildings, and other infrastructure, as well as the millions of workers. their impact on CO2, energy, and the environment, not to mention their huge drain on the economy and society, massively outweigh the impact of crypto by miles. Legacy banking is a polluting scourge.

Even worse, the inefficient legacy credit card system, eats 10's of millions of dollars in fraud globally....per hour. This is more than just a huge drain on the economy, it is unsustainable and contributes to world wide poverty.
