This seems a little imaginative. Care to elaborate on any of the specifics?

It's true that Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in aid to persuade Ukraine to oust its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in March 2016. But it wasn't because Shokin was investigating Burisma. It was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians.

In any case, trump's crime appears to be espionage.

How many other foreign officials did Biden quid pro quo out of a job?

Espionage in what way?

I'm not aware of any.

Espionage in what way?

From the search warrant:

Attachment B
Documents to be seized

All physical documents and records constituting evidence, contraband, fruits of crime or other items illegally possessed in violation of 18 USC §§ 793, 2071 or 1519

18 USC §793 is the law against gathering, transmitting or losing defense information.

So I guess we're looking at espionage as in gathering and transmitting top secret defence information.

Right so the same thing Hilary did except probably more secure because Trumps documents weren’t on a poorly secured server

Not all the details are out, but my guess would be no.

Trump's documents appear to be regarding national security, and he appears to have refused to return them, to the point of not returning these ones, which I would suspect implies criminal intent.

There may be other explanation for such a blowhard loudmouth. Perhaps he wanted to souvenir some top secret documents. He had a times cover of himself mocked up and framed, so self-aggrandisement is an important part of who he is. He's already referenced the documents Obama has in his presidential library, so perhaps he just stole these and refused to give them back because he's buggered if he's going to let Obama have records of his presidency and he not, and he's also buggered if he's going to go through the correct process, because that would take time and effort, and he's too busy running the business of pocketing money that the magahats donate thinking that it's going to challenging the election outcome in the courts.

Full disclosure: I suspect criminal intent.

Trump personally refused to return the documents?

I don't know if it was him or his lawyers.

What we know is that they were trying to get the documents back, leading to a June 3 in person visit by Jay I. Bratt, the top counterintelligence official in the Justice Department’s national security division.

We also believe that a lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump signed a written statement in June asserting that all material marked as classified and held in boxes in a storage area at Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and club had been returned to the government.

We know that to be false.

This was a year and a half after the documents were taken from the white house, and moved to a room off a public corridor in mar-a-lago, leading to the pool. Suspect that Trump was aware of the documents by then. He was aware of the room. Apparently he kept his passports there.

Then we know that a search warrant was applied for, we know that that requires probable cause for a crime, and we know that was signed off on by a judge.

Believe? Doesn’t sound like there is a signed written statement if belief is all you have.

Suspect that Trump was aware of the documents by then.

What evidence is there to support this suspicion?

He was aware of the room. Apparently he kept his passports there.

His passports being taken in the raid does not mean they were kept in the room with the documents nor that he was aware of the documents.
