I was in the boyscouts many years ago. I didn't know anyone who was assaulted. It may have happened. If a parent had heard of it at that time, the problem would have been managed internally (to fire and/or prosecute the abuser). Reporting sexual abuses has developed in a more litigious direction in the past 15 years in the US due to thelawsuits against the Catholic Church, the 'Me too' movement &c. This does not have much to do with LGTBQ+. There is a growing tendency of teenagers to openely identify with LGTBQ+ in the past 15 years, but this is not necessarily related to the boy scouts.

It's possible that there are boy scout groups that have had major problems with LGBTQ+ members, but a reasonable report on this should be developed with proper research, rather than misleading information.
