I read recently that fox had been sued by Dominion for a large amount of money and I'm assuming that fox crumbled and took new people in as owners instead of totally crumbling and going bankrupt
Of course this is all an assumption on my part

He also spoke very openly about the pentagon papers and told his audience the truth about Ukraine. That's a pretty big deal too!

I could be wrong here about this but I bet they forced him to sign something saying that he would stay out of the media business for perhaps a period of time maybe 5 years and he had to sign it in order to get his severance package.
Like I said Google says he's got 400 million dollars which is quite a nest egg to retire on so he doesn't need to do anything he could just move to France and get a little house and live happily ever after
